After working in the office in a part time capacity for over 6 years, Prue Elder has decided to relocate to Alness, just north of Inverness, to be closer to some of her family including two beautiful granddaughters. Prue has been a huge help and support to me over the years and has always been very thorough in the tasks she has undertaken. She will be greatly missed not only for this work but also for her calmness in the many tribulations of work at Grosvenor House! On behalf of all the Society, thank you so much for your support, Prue – it has been very much appreciated.
I am delighted to say that our new Assistant, Lorna Reilly, started work on 1 July and promises to be a huge asset to the Society. Her first day of work was spent organising rosettes and sashes for the imminent Breed Show, chasing the unreturned trophies, writing letters to the most generous donors to the Breed Show and starting to come to grips with the Sage accounting system. Lorna and her youngest daughter, Grace will be at the Breed Show and she looks forward to meeting many of our members then.
